Reporting Bugs

Introduction

No software is perfect. As such reporting bugs found in software is very important. Sometimes bugs can only be discovered in vary specific scenarios that the developers may never have thought of or experienced.

Bugs and enhancement requests for the "upstream" RPM can be filed in the rpm.org Trac. Please search existing bug reports and RFE's to avoid filing duplicate entries. Note that you need to register an account in order to create tickets. Anonymous ticket creation is disabled as we'll want to be able to follow up on tickets with the reporter, and also to limit abuse.

Vendor bugs

RPM software is used in a variety of Linux distributions, varying greatly in the number of vendor-specific patches and configuration. Bugs experienced in these distributions are through the distribution vendor bug tracking system.
